  • PhD in Astronomy (University of Athens, Hellas, 1997)
  • PhD in Egyptology (Les Astres dans les Textes Religieux en Égypte Antique et dans les Hymnes Orphiques Helléniques —University of Limoges, France, 2004)

Current Occupation

  • Research Associate at the CES RAS;
  • Collaborates with the Benaki Museum (Athens), studying the faience collection and all the other (few) Egyptian antiquities, in order to publish them in a complete catalogue; she also collaborates with the National Archaeological Museum of Athens for the re–opening of the Egyptian Collection and the publication of several objects (especially later sarcophagi and inscribed artifacts).

Activities

  • Research on the astronomical elements in ancient Egyptian texts;
  • Study of various ancient Egyptian artifacts (mainly made of faience);
  • Writing and translating archaeological books;
  • Preparation of Catalogue Raisonné for the Egyptian faience objects at the Benaki Museum in Athens;
  • Editor in chief for several BAR International Series editions;
  • Teaching of ancient Egyptian Grammar, Language and History to Greek archaeologists and students of Archaeology;
  • Organization and active participation in egyptological and archaeoastronomical sessions at international scientific conferences, colloquia and congresses.
